In my auditions I firstly took the actress who I initially wanted to the woods so see how she felt and if she was confident in front of the camera. I also wanted to see how she looked in that environment and if it worked with the theme of my music video which I was aiming for.
After that I filmed her doing some actions and speaking into the camera in a different setting to see how she felt and if I thought she was confident enough:
In this post I have listed all the shot which I have taken so far in producing my music video. I noted what shot number it was, the type of shot that was used, how long they took, and what consisted in each frame.
There’s a teenage girl who is on an adventure to try and find something, however she unclear as to what she needs or wants to find. She has recently been feeling lost and stressed out about the troubles in her life. The girl is looking for someone that she can hurt with so that she no longer feels vulnerable.
The young girl travels to different places to try and find the one who will help her through her time of despair. Along the way she finds many destinations which help her discover the peace she has within herself.
By the end of the video she is reunited with her older self and her younger self is just a memory of what the older one used to be. In conclusion she realises that she doesn’t need anyone to hurt with as she has found peace on her travels within herself and all she needs is trust in herself.
Within my music video I am planning on using several locations; I have been to the majority of them and the other locations which I am yet to visit I have looked up and know exactly where about I am planning on filming.
The first location which I know I am going to be using is Ruislip woods, I want to film in this area as it is autumn and therefore there will likely be a variety of colours and textures which will add to the setting of my music video.
Another location which I planned on using was the car to film the main character in my music video driving. I also wanted to film in the evening to have a good lighting and a sunset to make this scene more diverse from the other scenes which are going to be used in the music video.
The next location I will be using is Kings College, I feel that this is a very clean and clear area with lots of different elements which will help bring symmetry to the music video. For example the goal post and the football markings on the field.
These are the several; locations which I have chosen so far to use within my music video, however there will be some more locations when I have completed the filming.
This is the original sketch which I have conducted for my magazine advert to promote the album. Although it may differentiate to my final product, I Have all the basic information and image idea which will hopefully remain the same.
These are the initial sketches which I have done to pre-plan what I want it to look like. Similar to other stuff which I have pre-planned, some of the photos may come out differently or I may change my mind. Therefore it may not look like this at the end of my production.
This is the story board that I created, I have a few notes on the side of the images to help me remember what I am going to do. Although the pictures I have drawn are not the best I understand them and now have a clear idea of what I want to do in the music video
