In my auditions I firstly took the actress who I initially wanted to the woods so see how she felt and if she was confident in front of the camera. I also wanted to see how she looked in that environment and if it worked with the theme of my music video which I was aiming for.
After that I filmed her doing some actions and speaking into the camera in a different setting to see how she felt and if I thought she was confident enough:

In this post I have listed all the shot which I have taken so far in producing my music video. I noted what shot number it was, the type of shot that was used, how long they took, and what consisted in each frame.
This is a risk assessment which I have conducted to ensure that the actor and equipment is all safe and doesn’t get ruined or hurt. I also have conducted this so that my music video will be completed in the most sufficient way.
In my music video I am planning on my character to not be using any props or anything to physically hold. However there are arttributes in the setting which act as props and her outfit.
For example:
There are walls which she walks upon and climbs over.
Trees she climbs through.
Logs she balances on.
Leaves on trees which she touches and holds
To add to that her outfit also adds to the story line and meaning of the music video as she is wearing very simplistic clothes such as jeans, plain shirt, jacket and trainers which is used to imply that the music video is about the journey which she is going to take rather than what she looks like.
During the music video there are certain apparatus and equipment which I used to ensure that my music video looked as professional as it could possibly be. For example I used the Cannon 550D to film my music video as I thought that this would make it appear to be as professional as it could. I also chose to use a 50mm prime lens which made enabled me to get good close ups with easy access and not waste too much time moving around when filming. However I didn’t zoom whilst filming as I thought this would make it look less professional. Finally I used a tripod to get a steady angle for shots where I needed to pan or manoeuvre in some way.
In this blog post I have got conformation from the location which I have chosen to use in my music video so that I was able to film there and use this footage successfully in my music video.
This is my actor release, it is the conformation which I got from the actress that I used in my music video enabling me to use the shots in mu music video.

I am writing this email to ask you for permission en order for me to produce a music video using your song (Hurt Together). I am doing a coursework project at school and thought that your song would work perfectly with the theme that I have in mind. I have always enjoyed listening to the song and now that I have the opportunity I would be largely grateful if you would let me use the song, as it is for a school project I will not be profiting in any way from using this.
